Be the spokesperson for the City of Edo merchants and represent their needs to City leaders.  Organize events/festivals  with the other groups and allies; meet with visiting merchants; and promote the use of the prim coin system with our allied sim Yaeichi to grow the Pani economy .  The current merchants include a seamstress, baker, exotic herb trader, dollmaker, rice trader, and produce merchant.  We are looking for a butcher, sake distiller, Iron Mine manager, perfumer---and others.

City of Edo

The City of Edo is a Pani sim
Pani-generally people of who were brought Japan to Gor by the priest kings. So theirs cities will look very much like an old world Japanese city

 As soon As I stepped the docks the exotic fragrances filled my nose. This was so unlike any of the southern or northern cities I have traveled to. Parts of the city are even built on the water itself. From what I hear its somewhat typical to the Pani people, but not to those like me from the South.

Truly the market was amazing to behold. The smells, the perfumes, and foods so different than what. I am use to. Oh and the silks and fabrics, were so beautiful. They offer such unique items here. They also have a rice and sake mill, so be sure to taste some delicious sake while you are here. Also try their exotic perfumes, oils, and foods. One thing I found that enchanted me was from their local dollmaker. Some of the most beautiful dolls you will ever see.

For you men, I sure you would love the Painted Lady.  Where you and your slaves can indulge yourselves. Or of course I am sure there are plenty of slaves ready to serve you, for you men traveling without such luxury.

One thing that sets Pani people is the contract women. I had the pleasure of meeting one. She was a very lovely women. One of the many amazing exotics of this land. Please note these women aren't slaves but indentured servants, they are also artist and well trained in the arts and pleasure. I sure the men reading this would find their company quite delightful.  So please note my readers they are respected for their skills, and not treated as one would a slave.

For you Ladies be sure to check out the teahouse. A wonderful spot to relax. But be sure not to enter the pleasure areas. I would hate to think what would happen if you did.

The General rp to be had: This is a Pani City and village so expect an old world Japanese experience with gorean values 
Trading Rp:

• fish, rice, exotic herbs and spices, 
• they distill sake and are always willing to trade sake for paga
• silks and unique fabrics with
• the city has a resident doll maker making some of the best dolls in all of Gor

The times to find people Usually busier at later times, but you can find people at all times
Weapons: melee weapons only
Dress: Generally accepted look is Pani-kimonos and old world Japanese style clothes. But those traveling from other lands are of course allowed to wear clothes of their homestone, as long as it is gorean style
FW
Dress: kimonos and Pani style clothes, for other fw no veil is need and can relax a bit showing a little more chest than normal and some arm but I would otherwise stay traditional
weapons: General fw weapons, fw are allowed to protect themselves, family and homestone. Any fw attacking a fm otherwise will most likely be ejected
Attitudes and actions: mind your manners and tongues, its gor Men rule here. FW are very respected here but are also expected to be polite and be worth of such respect
Taverns: fw are allowed in the tea house, but stay out of the pleasure areas or you will be asking for trouble
Traveling alone: As FW are respected you should generally be safe, just watch your actions and words
FW outlaws no! they are very strict on this rule
Contract Women These are owned women paying off a debt. Their status is not permanent, therefore they are not collared or branded. These are women trained in the arts and are respected as artist. Though not considered as a high of status as a FW, and  generally do not have freedom. They are to treated better than slaves but not as respected as fw.
Slaves
General: you are expected to mind, work hard and to follow all the commands of a free
attire: most any slave garments are accepted, but tend to be more on a bond maiden style
Traveling alone:  Not advised. Where most would be respectful of a collar, a strange slave in a strange land is generally asking for trouble.

new law courses

New law courses are going to be offered for magistrates and advocates

Notice sent:
We offer 2 main courses. These are free of charge. They are open to anybody including slaves and are run on Mondays for Magistrates and Tuesdays for Advocates. Classes will held at 1pm slt and repeated at 5pm slt. The next round of courses will begin Monday 23rd April for Magistrates and Tuesday 24th April for Advocates.

1) Magistrate Course.
A series of 8 x 1 hour classes and 2 pieces of written work. We cover issues such as the laws, sentencing, ic/ooc, court procedures, jurisdiction and day to day tasks. It is a friendly discursive style class.

2) Advocate Course.
This course is also 8 x 1 hour classes. It is based around rp'ing trials. We focus on the law, courtroom procedure and tactics as we roleplay a series of case studies.
There are a further 2 cases covered as written work.

Both courses are certificated. It is perfectly fine if both are attended concurrently. For further information or enrollment to the class group, please contact me by IM or drop me a note if i am offline.

Fort Sanobar

A fort set way back in the mountains. The terrain is very rugged and harsh, but I found some very nice and hard working people living in deep the hills of this land. The fort is mostly southern Gorean who have left their homes to settle in this harsh. So here you will find a unique blend of both Northern and Southern traditions.

One very nice feature of the fort is a special housing for uncompanioned free women. A wonderful added safety for single free woman of the fort. The longhall, is a place of great merriment and a good place for a good meal and entertainment for the men.

The hills are filled with tabuk, which helps this fort in trade of fresh meat, hides and horns. The people of Sanobar have made a good living for themselves and are always open for trading. Be careful though, as you make your way to fort, as the hills are also know to be hiding places for panthers.

All in all I enjoyed myself there, found some delightful people and can't wait to return.

The General rp to be had:  This an area of hard working people in a very harsh land. But the woods provide them lots of natural resources for trading and giving them a very good livelihood. It is also a great place for hunting

Very sorry I haven't posted on here, in a long time. But I do hope to get back on board with this blog and be posting regularly again.

Gorean Information center

I have been out of Gor and SL for awhile. Well I am back and wanting to get back to this blog and the general swing of all things gorean, I visited this place to help me. I was very impressed.

First of all it has lots of information, and very good information at that. Those wanting to build up a gorean library need to start here. This is a perfect place to bring someone new to Gor, a good place to explain things and get them settled before putting them into rp. I really liked the info on panthers, they tend to get looked over in the information department.



They is also a great place to advertise your sim, school, etc. I was actually surprised we had so many schools in gor.

My favorite part is without doubt the teleporters. I LOVE THEM!! There are two tp globus, and the put the sims in classifications to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Rovere

Rovere is a rustic city that has built itself back from turmoil and gor qwaks. The buildings have a beautiful charm to them and sea air will do anyones health The port has built up a good fishing, farming, lumber mills, and pottery trade businesses. When you first step onto the docks you will find the RP Gorean trading post. This is a great place to get all your rp needs.(using your gorean coins, from the gorean meter)



There is a slight hike up to the city, but when entering the city you will first see the Tre'moon inn. This is a lovely place run by the local baker, Sugar Shui. The city also has some of the best kajira I have seen.
They put their girls through a very rigorous training program, ran by Vamp Quintessa. The girls are very well behaved and seem to go to one task to another without being told.



The people here are strong, proud and were very hospitable. I enjoyed the people very much, I fear, though I think I saw a few outlaws running about, so please be careful.

Gorean Expo presented by DAB, a spectacular show

Over two glorious days, September 8th and 9th, all those who are interested in Gor were given a true treat. DAB Designs presented, through their gorean division, a spectacular fashion show dubbed the Gorean Expo. Unlike most fashion shows which consist of a runway with parading models, DAB decided to do something completely different. They created a gorean city named DAB with all the amenities of any gorean sim in second life. In their natural settings the models displayed the fashions that will be seen throughout Gor in the coming days and months. Not only did they present the silks, which get the most attention in other fashion shows, they also presented free women dresses and free men clothing of all styles. They also had a simulated panther camp and even the wagon people were represented in authentic settings. You could see what it would be like to be dressed in the fine fashions of Gor in the truest test of any gorean fashion, in its natural gorean setting.

Fashions from the Library and Wagon Camp

How many times have you gone to a flashy store to find the perfect outfit, buy it, then realize once you were back on your gorean sim that it looked totally out of place? DAB has taken the guessing out of shopping by presenting all the beautiful and authentic fashions of Gor in their natural gorean environment. As I moved about the DAB city on the first day I saw free women moving about the tea room and library in fine dresses presented by Fantasia, GutterPup, and Eclectic Designs. The beautiful silks and camisks of GutterPup and Eclectic Designs were a treat for the eyes in the tavern. As I moved over to the other side of the virtual gorean city, I found myself in the panther camp. I was impressed with the setting of the camp, which looks much more authentic then many panther camps we see throughout second life Gor. The fashions of Feral Designs, Fantasia, GutterPup, and Husky made visiting the panther camp a realistic experience. I was truly impressed with just how realistic the panther fashions were. This is the first time I have seen this level of detail paid to panther fashions. My travels next brought me to the camp of the wagon people, which featured the best dress I have ever seen representing what a woman of the wagon people would wear; it was presented by Ayana and Hope Designs. I moved to the Warriors hall next, and found excellent free men clothing from Husky, and Fantasia Designs. As a scribe in Gor, I myself have found it hard to find proper attire. I was most pleased to see that DAB found designers to accommodate the needs of free men throughout Gor.

The second day of the Gorean Expo was just as impressive as the first. More fashions were presented from the fashion designers of the first day, as well as designs from AC creations, and FLP filthy larma productions. AC Designs presented an eclectic mix of free men and panther designs that impressed all that attended. FLP showcased their creations as well, and added to the already impressive displays of fashion from the first day. Many of the designers from the first day like Husky, and Ayana and Hope Designs added more treasures for all to the see on the final night of the Expo. No one went away disappointed. There were even discounts offered for those who decided to purchase products directly from the Expo.

All that attended were impressed as they watched the models move about the simulated gorean city throughout the two days of the Gorean Expo. Truly DAB has created a phenomenon that all hope will be seen again. Those that attended saw how fashion fits in the gorean lifestyle and how the fashions presented in DAB city would be perfect in any city, tavern, village, and camp throughout the world of Gor. Daron Brandeis the owner of DAB Designs, who has always been a friend of second life Gor, with the help of his personal assistant fallon Maertens, have given a gift to all those that care about Gor. They have shown that Gor like any other community in second life deserves to have attention paid to its needs. Clothing that truly fits the Gorean lifestyle has been hard to come by, through this Gorean Expo, DAB Designs has helped to bring the designers and Goreans together in a setting that is natural and unique.
